WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

Five years ago, I wasn’t asking the right questions. This note is for my younger self, and maybe for you too.

Five years ago, I was living life entirely on my own terms. No wife, no kids — just a full pursuit of ambition, growth, and personal success. Faith wasn’t something I thought about. I wasn’t against it, but I wasn’t curious either. I considered myself agnostic by default — not out of deep conviction, but out of indifference and lack of interest. Looking back, I realize how unintentional that was, to leave the biggest questions of life unanswered simply because I never made time to ask them.

Everything began to shift when I met my now-wife — through a series of circumstances so wild and unmistakably orchestrated that I knew, without question, that something greater was at work. That someone was God.

Since then, I’ve found my way into the Christian faith — slowly, honestly, with a lot of questions — and I now live with a deeper sense of purpose, gratitude, and direction than I ever imagined possible. My life didn’t magically get easier. But it did get far more meaningful.

This note isn’t about trying to convert anyone. Truly. It’s simply an invitation, a loving challenge to be more intentional. Don’t let your beliefs (or lack of them) be formed by accident, distraction, or the noise of culture. Be curious. Ask the big questions. Sit with the uncomfortable ones. Seek truth, not comfort.

Because in a world that’s louder, faster, and more chaotic than ever, I believe the most important thing we can do is get clear on what we believe, why we believe it, and how that belief shapes the way we live and love others. Whatever your path, I hope you walk it with intention — not ignorance, and with the courage to keep seeking.
